CREATION RAP
[First ever written Rap - use “mid-Atlantic” accent]
In five days the Lord made the Universe:
He didn't have to practice and He didn't rehearse.
He made the land and the sky and the sea,
Then on the sixth day He made you - and me.
On the Seventh Day the Lord looked about,
And he said: "This is good, Man, it's all worked out.
For there is the Elephant and there is the Flea,
The Albatross and the Manatee,
The smallest Moss and the tallest Tree,
And it's all a gift to You - from Me!"
Creation Rap!
Then the Lord he mused on that seventh day
And he thought: "Oh dear me, I've given it away,
And I've passed it all on to foolish Man,
To run it for himself as best as he can!
But I'd like a little something that's just for me,
So I'll do a quick creation that Man shall never see!"
So at Noon on the Seventh Day was born
The Lord's own friend, the Unicorn!
Creation Rap!
Now, the Unicorn ain't to ride or to eat,
He ain't to burden and he ain't to beat.
He's tall and white and sleek and strong,
And 'cos he is the Lord's he never does wrong.
And the Lord he thinks when he sees his friend:
"One day, some day, this Universe'll end.
There was nothing but Me at the very first dawn:
At the last one there 'll be Me - and My Unicorn!"
